Where Shadows Slumber is a mobile adventure puzzle game that takes place in a world that has been plunged into darkness. You will guide Obe, an old man who discovers a mysterious lantern in the forest, on one last journey.

The only tools at your disposal are your wits and the chaotic nature of the universe. Anything that is not touched by light has the freedom to change. This governing principle will be your guide in the darkness, but also your undoing. After all, if you are not touched by the light, you have the freedom to change as well.

Game designers Jack Kelly and Frank DiCola have a long history of working together in a variety of disciplines, ranging from sketch comedy, to stage productions, to mobile game development. Where Shadows Slumber is a joint labor of love between the programmer / artist combo. With it, they hope to inspire a generation of mobile gamers and jumpstart their entry into the game industry.

The two began exploring ideas for Where Shadows Slumber in the spring of 2015, shortly after the release of their first mobile game, SkyRunner. After researching and working on the idea over the summer, Kelly and DiCola produced a short demo which launched on the App Store and Google Play in November 2016.

The demo was met with rave reviews and over 300,000 downloads. The combo knew they had a hit on their hands, but their work was just beginning. Web developer Caroline Amaba joined the team to give the game a solid web presence during development. Composers Noah Kellman and Alba S. Torremocha joined in September of 2017 to create the game’s beautiful soundtrack.

The game was made available for pre-orders on the App Store on September 10th, 2018 and will launch on September 20th.
